Cancellation Policy


 In the event the Renter MUST cancel a valid rental agreement, the Deposit and rental fee shall be distributed in the following manner:
A) For renter cancellation 91 Days or more before rental event, a $100 administrative fee will be charged and the remainder of the rental fee will be returned to the renter.
B) For renter cancellation 90 days or less before rental event, no deposit is returned.

Does Garden Valley Community Centre supply coffee urns?

  • Yes. Included with your hall rental are the use of: 2 – 100 cup Coffee Urns & 1 – 30 cup Coffee Urn.

 Does Garden Valley Hall Community Centre provide wine or water glasses to rent?

  • No. We do not have glasses available for rent.

Are Tea Towels, Linens (Tablecloths) provided?
  • No, please bring your own.

 Will we have access to the kitchen in the Garden Valley Community Centre?

  • Yes. You will have full access to the kitchen and bar area.

Can tables and chairs be taken outside of the hall?

  • No, the tables or chairs cannot be removed from the hall.  


Does the hall have a P.A. System that can be rented?

  • No, a P.A. system needs to be supplied. 

Does the hall have a podium?
  • Yes
 Can we hire a caterer of our choice?

  • Yes, Garden Valley Community Centre does not offer in house catering.

 Is the water safe for drinking?

  • Yes, we have the well water checked by Alberta Health Services.

Does the hall have WIFI?
  • Yes

Are Fireworks allowed?
  • Call Parkland County for a permit.  Note: No Fireworks allowed if there is a Parkland County Fire Ban. Please check with Parkland County.

Does the hall have air conditioning?
  • No, but there are two exhaust fans that can be turned on to help keep the hall cool, plus there are several ceiling fans to circulate the air

Does the hall rent out the Table or Chairs?
  • No

Do Cabs come out to Garden Valley Hall?
  • Yes they do.

Are there Ashtrays provided outside?
  • Yes, outside of the hall on the south and west side of the hall.

Does the hall have a BBQ or firepit that we can use?
  • ​No, there is not a BBQ
  • ​Yes, there is a firepit.

Main Hall

  • Floor Area (from back wall and not including vinyl plank flooring area on either side of hall):
    64 feet in length x 27 feet wide
    Vinyl planking area on either side of hall is approx. – 10 feet 8 inches wide

  • Ceiling Height - approx. 15 Feet (The hall supplies an 11 foot ladder for your use)
  • Carpeted Stage with steps on either side: 19 Feet 10 Inches in Length x 10 Feet Deep
  • Total Length & Width of main hall area (not including kitchen & bar area) - approximately
  • 64 feet in length x approximately 48 feet 4 inches wide. 

 

Round Cake Table:  2 available - 35 ¼” x 35 ¼” x 29” high.

Rectangular Tables: 8’ - 35 available, 6’ - 2 available, 4’ - 3 available.

Chairs : 200 available (34 “ from floor to top of back, 19” from floor to seat, 15 ½” wide at widest point).  


Decorating Related Questions

  What are the decorating regulations?

  • No confetti of any kind including metallic confetti. No rice, hay or straw bales shall be used.

  • No tape, staples, tacks or any other adhesive will be used to hang posters or decorations to the ceiling, walls or tables, except in designated areas for hanging items.

  Camping Related Questions

Can we park trailers on the lot?

  • Yes, trailers are welcome and we have ample space for tents & trailers.

Are there hook-ups provided in the camping area?

  • No, there are no camping hook-ups provided. You are welcome to bring a gas generator if required.

Are there washrooms in the camping area?

  • No, just inside the hall

Is there an outside fire pit available?

  • Yes, there is a pit on the west side of the parking area.

  • Note: No Fires allowed if there is a Parkland County Fire Ban. Please check with Parkland County.
